Clinical Supervision for Counsellors
I offer supervision in person in Kingsbridge, South Devon, and online across the UK.
As an integrative practitioner, I provide supervision to trainee and qualified counsellors working with a wide range of client issues and therapeutic approaches.
My aim is to help you thrive—enhancing your wellbeing, expanding your professional capacity, and enriching the care and support you offer to your clients.

My Supervision Style
My supervisory work is shaped by a deep appreciation of the complexity involved in holding others’ lives at vulnerable and painful moments. This informs a reflective approach, with careful attention to responsibility, ethical practice, and the wellbeing of both you and your clients.
I aim to create a safe and non-judgemental space where you feel secure enough to explore your edges and think constructively about your work—including moments when you might say, “I’ve made a mis-step and want to talk it through,” or “I’m not sure how to move forward.”
I work in a warm and honest way, combining respectful challenge with thoughtful exploration, so we can collaborate as a team to deepen reflection, build self-awareness, strengthen professional identity, and support clarity in therapeutic decision-making.
Approach to Supervision
My approach draws on two well-established supervision models: Hawkins’ Seven-Eyed Model and Proctor’s Three-Function Model. Together, I find these frameworks offer clear structure and depth, forming a flexible and comprehensive foundation that adapts to evolving needs while upholding ethical and professional standards.
Sessions may be structured or fluid, depending on your learning style, stage of development, and current needs as a counsellor. During sessions, I offer:
-
Reflective & Clinical Support: Exploring client work, therapeutic relationships, and presenting issues
-
Skill Development: Building clinical skills, techniques, and professional confidence
-
Ethical Oversight & Accountability: Ensuring practice meets ethical and professional standards
-
Client Welfare: Prioritising safety and wellbeing through competent, ethical practice
-
Emotional Support: Space to process the emotional impact of the work, manage stress, and prevent burnout
-
Professional Development: Reflective practice, career development, and continuing professional growth
-
Practical & Administrative Support: Assistance with organisation, case management, and aspects of private practice
-
One-Off Sessions for Counsellors Starting Private Practice: Offering guidance on legal requirements, practical setup, marketing strategies, and administrative systems
Clinical Background
I hold an NCPS Diploma in Supervision. I started my counselling career within the NHS before establishing a thriving private practice, which has broadened my understanding of diverse client experiences and therapeutic approaches. I continue to pursue ongoing CPD, ensuring my supervision and counselling remain current, reflective, and effective.
